About Chinchwad station

Chinchwad is the principal station for the MIDC industrial estate and one of the highest-footfall stops on the Pune–Lonavala line. Generations of factory and engineering workers have commuted through it, and the daily pattern still shows: heavy loads into Pune in the morning, heavy loads out in the evening. The area around the station is fully built up, with markets, coaching classes and PG accommodation catering to the commuting population.
