About Dapodi station

Dapodi is a small suburban halt between Khadki and Kasarwadi, serving the Dapodi and Bopodi neighbourhoods strung along the old Mumbai–Pune road. The station is basic — there is little here beyond platforms and a booking window — but its position on the Pune to Pimpri corridor makes it genuinely useful for short hops that would otherwise mean sitting in highway traffic.

The area around the station is a mix of defence land, older residential colonies and the commercial strip along the highway. It has grown steadily as Pimpri-Chinchwad has expanded southward.

Worth knowing before you travel

Dapodi to Pune Junction is around thirteen minutes by train. The same journey by road at peak hour can take three times as long, which is the entire argument for using this station.

When the station is busy

Predominantly a commuter stop, busiest towards Pune in the morning and outward in the evening. Very quiet at weekends.
