About Ghorawadi station

Ghorawadi is a rural station serving Ghorawadi, Somatane and the surrounding villages of Maval taluka. It sits in open country between the industrial belt and Talegaon, and it is the sort of stop most passengers pass through without registering — which is exactly what makes it valuable to the few hundred people who use it every day.

There are rock-cut caves in the hills nearby, part of the same ancient Buddhist network that produced Karla, Bhaja and Shelarwadi. They are small, unsigned and almost never visited, which for some people is the point.
